Make releases easier to run and recover.

Deployments should not depend on a sequence someone remembers. We make the release path, configuration and recovery steps explicit.

No pressure, no hard sell.

We organize environments, releases and operating checks around your application. Bring the deployment or support task that feels uncertain; we will propose a focused improvement and explain the responsibilities it creates.

What we deliver

An environment and access map

We document where the application runs, which services it uses and how changes reach each environment. We identify administrative access and deployment credentials separately. This map helps your team review responsibilities and find configuration that has become scattered across accounts, scripts or individual machines.

A repeatable delivery workflow

We define the steps that turn an approved code change into a release. Relevant checks run before deployment, and release inputs are recorded. The workflow reflects your hosting constraints and database migration needs. Your team reviews what is automated and where a deliberate approval or manual step remains appropriate.

Clear configuration and secrets handling

We separate environment-specific settings from application code and document the required values without exposing secrets. Access follows the tasks each person or process needs to perform. We review how credentials are introduced and replaced, so a release does not rely on copying an unexplained file from another machine.

Application-focused monitoring

We identify the signals needed to notice and investigate failures in important workflows. Infrastructure health alone may not explain a failed payment event or background job. We connect operating checks to the application behavior in scope and document where your team should look when a signal needs attention.

A backup and recovery review

We review which data needs protection, what backup facilities exist and how restoration would work in the agreed environment. A backup is only one part of recovery; configuration and application versions matter too. Where included in scope, we rehearse a restoration in a suitable environment and record the result.

Release and incident runbooks

We write operating notes for the tasks your team is expected to handle. Those can include deployment, inspecting failed work, replacing credentials and following a recovery procedure. The handover walks through the relevant tools and dependencies. You receive a practical starting point for operating the delivered setup.

We will agree the deliverables before implementation.

How it works

  1. Review the current release path

We follow a change from source control to the running application. We identify manual steps, configuration sources and the evidence available after a failure. We also ask who operates the system. You review the current map and choose the release or recovery problem the first scope should address.

  2. Choose a proportionate setup

We compare options against application needs, existing accounts and your team's ability to maintain them. Additional services bring configuration and support work as well as capabilities. We explain the proposed environments and responsibilities, with infrastructure costs considered as part of the decision rather than an afterthought.

  3. Build and rehearse the workflow

We implement the scoped pipeline and configuration in the available environments. We exercise a normal release and relevant failure cases, such as a failed check or an interrupted deployment. Database changes need their own review. Your team sees the actual sequence before using it for production work.

  4. Hand over operation

We walk through deployment, monitoring and the recovery steps included in scope. We record unresolved dependencies and actions that require provider or account-owner access. Support responsibilities are agreed explicitly. The final runbook explains the delivered setup so another engineer can operate it with the necessary permissions.

Weekly written updates

Technologies

  • AWS
  • Docker
  • GitHub Actions
  • Laravel
  • Node.js
  • PostgreSQL
  • MySQL

We select AWS services around the workload and operating model. Docker and GitHub Actions can support packaging and delivery where they fit your environment. Existing tools can remain. The proposal explains each component, provider constraints and the ongoing responsibilities created by the setup.

We will explain the stack before the build.

Typical outcomes

A more understandable release

A documented workflow makes the required checks, configuration and deployment steps visible. That can reduce dependence on individual memory. We rehearse the delivered sequence with your team so the result is an operating process, not simply a pipeline file committed to the repository.

A clearer response to failure

Relevant signals and runbooks give an incident investigation a place to start. Recovery still depends on the application, environment and agreed procedures. We record what was exercised and what remains unverified, so your team understands the practical limits of the delivered setup.

Fewer unexplained dependencies

An access and environment map helps expose the accounts, credentials and manual actions the application relies on. We discuss those dependencies during handover. Your team can use the map when responsibilities change or a later release needs a different operating arrangement.

We will agree concrete acceptance examples for these intended improvements.

Engagement options

A fixed-scope project fits a defined deployment or migration setup. Dedicated monthly engineering fits continued application and infrastructure work with an evolving backlog. Hourly consulting suits an AWS or release-process review before implementation. Share the release task that currently causes uncertainty, and we will propose a practical first scope.

Fixed-scope project

Defined deliverables, agreed acceptance criteria and scope changes discussed before implementation.

Dedicated monthly engineering

An evolving backlog, priorities agreed together and working increments you can review.

Hourly technical consulting

A focused question, agreed review boundaries and findings to inform your next decision.

Bring your constraints; we will recommend a starting model.

Questions before we start

Do we have to move to AWS?

No. We start with the environment you have and the reason you are considering a change. AWS is an option where its services suit the workload and your operating needs. A migration should solve a defined problem. We will compare the proposed setup with improving the existing environment before recommending a move.

Can you automate our current deployment?

We can review the existing steps and automate the parts that fit the environment and access available. Some actions may still need approval or coordination, especially when database changes are involved. We make those boundaries explicit. Bring the current release instructions, even if they exist only as notes, and we will map the workflow.

Is ongoing incident coverage included?

Coverage and response arrangements need a separate agreement. A delivery project includes the operating materials stated in its scope; it does not imply continuous incident response. Support: available after launch. We will discuss who monitors the system and who acts on alerts before handing over the setup.

Can you guarantee a release has no downtime?

No blanket guarantee is appropriate. Release behavior depends on the application, infrastructure and changes involved. We plan around your availability needs, review migration compatibility and rehearse where the environment allows it. The release notes explain expected behavior and recovery options so your team can review the risk before deployment.

Who controls the cloud account?

We agree account ownership and access with you before implementation. The setup should support your team's ability to administer the delivered application. Credentials and billing responsibilities remain explicit, with only the access required for the work granted. The handover identifies the accounts and permissions needed for routine operation.

Include other constraints in your enquiry so we can review them during scoping.
